Sedation
Our goal is to provide all of our patients with a relaxed and comfortable setting for their care. Our experience has shown
that when our patients are relaxed, they do much better during and after their treatment. For this reason, we will tailor
sedation methods to achieve an optimum comfort level for you. Below are the three primary methods of sedation used in our
office.

Local Anesthesia
Some patients opt to be treated with local anesthesia. We use very gentle injection techniques to achieve profound
anesthesia. We will ensure that your mouth is completely numb before we begin any procedure.
Oral Anesthesia
In addition to local anesthesia, you may prefer to be lightly sedated for your procedure. We often prescribe an oral medication for
our patients, to be taken before the appointment. This medication allows many patients to sufficiently relax and fall
asleep during the treatment.
Conscious Intravenous (IV) Sedation
For the most extensive procedures or for the patients who experience significant anxiety
during dental visits, we recommend I.V. conscious sedation. Doctor Krueger is certified in
intravenous sedation. Medications specific for the patient's needs are used for relaxation
throughout the procedure. This type of sedation is extremely safe, and is also a great option
for patients with a busy schedule who wish to perform a number of procedures in one appointment.
